Synectic - Web Software Design
Synectic are a company in Blackburn who coordinate and manage PFI projects for major clients around the UK
Until recently Synectic manually built quotations for furniture packages in schools. These quotations were large entitities and extremely time consuming to put together , sometimes taking a number of weeks and giving no quality control over the process . VooDoo UK were appointed to produce an integrated online system to automate the process and combine reporting and financial systems into the solution . After careful systems analysis a system was designed and build, which has now reduced the initial quotation time to less than a day.
To reduce the time spent repeating similar tasks, VooDoo designed a template based system allowing quotations to be constructed from 'room templates' imported from AutoCAD packages. Over the lifetime of the quotation , products, quantities and prices may be changed with full audit-trail and rollback capabilities. Once complete the whole package can be printed at the click of a button , including the automatic generation of PDF files. We have recently added a project management system to this allowing overview information to be extracted. Full financial capabilities have also been incorporated, including purchase order and invoice generation. Key Performance Indicators are automatically monitored and users alerted should problems occur.
